This week, we take a look at the Sea of Thieves trailer, pick it apart, and engage in a ton of baseless speculation about the nature of the game. Captain Bones would be proud! Also, the first installment of Rare & Friends' new audio drama, The Legacy of Drumstick: The Third Great War. As well as the above YouTube video, the episode should be up on iTunes: itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/l.o.g.-cast/id1042635507You can also download the MP3 here: mega.nz/#!1tx2iBoJ!fObOuZRSGfGwIiH0gdZVluIH0l6gl3E3f2FZN6b1dSc And here: www.dkvineforumwatch.com/logcast/audio/logcast_108.mp3As always, there is a section on our forums dedicated to the podcast: rarefriends.boards.net/board/7/castAs well as an email address that you can drop us a line to be be read on air: rareandfriends@gmail.com Let us know what you think.

Just finished this episode - another enjoyable one. Probably the most off-topic overall(based on title), but I truly don't mind that at all. I really liked the end when you guys talked about different pronunciations and phrasing of common expressions between the British and Americans.
In regards to Sea of Thieves and my initial reactions when I first saw the trailer in the E3 press conference: for the first few seconds, I thought it may be a realization of Project Dream. As it progressed, I quickly realized that it wasn't, but loved that it was a Rare pirate game. I recall being slightly underwhelmed at some of the generic animations of the crew on the deck (specificially those on the sides raising sails/etc), but impressed by the sea combat and especially that water!!
I was inspired to follow along a bit when you did dig into the trailer and saw many things I hadn't seen before, even with the IGN, Captain Bones, and your analysis. It's cool to keep noticing new details - truly a testament to what you guys were saying about Rare's attention to detail. I've often compared Rare to Pixar in the fact that they were always pioneers with technology, kept story and humor in their sights, and that they weren't afraid to delay something that needed polish.
I'm curious if the skeletons at the treasure chest are coming to life from drawings on the rocks, or if they were lifeless before and coming to life from the bones scattered about. Either would be cool.
I'm also curious if the player who walks the plank has a shot at survival or climbing back up the boat a-la Black Flag, or if they're pretty much guaranteed screwed by the sharks and will respawn at a tavern or campfire on the closest island.
Beyond all that, I really enjoyed your breakdown and discussion of the trailer as a whole. I can't wait til we hear more about this game and what it actually is in terms of a game as a whole.
Beyond Sea of Thieves - Kev, you are a bolder man than I to venture into Harlem at night. But all the power to ya for the conquest!
For the vote for this week's story: I vote C (also, can't wait to hear the interview with the robot. Or both robots.)
Cheers!

Your vote has be counted. Man, The only problem with this voting thing is I have wait to write the script the day before I record, haha. Glad you enjoyed our late night recording shenanigans!
